- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 tablespoons light corn syrup
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 loaf of French bread sliced into 1-inch thick pieces
- 6 large eggs
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a saucepan, combine brown sugar, butter, and corn syrup. Cook over medium heat until the mixture is smooth and bubbly.
