  • 24 large Medjool dates
  • 12 slices of bacon cut in half

24 whole almonds

  • 24 toothpicks

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Slice each date open lengthwise and remove the pit.
  • Optional: Insert one whole almond into each date.
  • Wrap each date with a half slice of bacon.
  • Secure the bacon with a toothpick.
  • Place the wrapped dates on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the bacon is crispy, turning once halfway through cooking.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
