After a four-year hiatus, Mission Coffee is back in the Short North! This week the bakery returned to its original shop on Price Avenue, just off the High Street.

The past years have been eventful for the Mission. After closing its original store in the fall of 2020, it was purchased by the owners of Blank Slate Coffee in Gahanna, who consolidated the business into a new store and bakery on South High Street next to The Fort.

Since then, the space has gone through several iterations, but when the opportunity arose to reopen there, the owners jumped at it. It’s a little sparse there over the soft opening, which is understandable, but they’re back in action.

The menu so far has included espresso drinks, cold brew, draft lattes, some specialty lattes and a cocktail.

We sampled an espresso using their Kodiak blend, a cortado and an orange blossom latte – all very good!

You can also buy bags of their beans.

Their weekly hours are 7am to 2pm, but keep an eye on their social media for updates.
