Jennings Java Coffee Roasters finally has a full service coffee shop to call their own! After operating first as a bake-and-carry location in the brewery area, Jennings began to carve out their own space in the original Bake Me Happy storefront in Merion Village, first selling whole grains and bottled and draft cold drinks in the back, before finally open their own space.

They’ve transformed the corner store into a light and airy hangout, with soft greenery, small plants and white subway tiles throughout.

The shop has a full espresso bar, brewed coffee, tea, tea and light snacks like bagels and local baked goods. Tucked away in one corner is their cave.

On my first visit, I tried a rich Cubano: espresso and (usually) turbinado sugar.

And I got a vanilla latte to go.

As expected, you can take bags of coffee beans for yourself. There’s also a rack of Jennings Java swag.

Jennings Java’s first official day is Sunday, October. 27!

The cafe is open Tuesday through Sunday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Closed on Mondays.
