There’s always a lot going on in the Columbus restaurant world! Here’s the latest:

• The owners of Milestone 229 announced this week that they were unable to reach a satisfactory agreement on their lease with the city and will therefore close in December. 31. The downtown eatery, known for its famous location on the Scioto Mile, opened its doors 14 years ago.
• Coffee makers Black Kahawa celebrated the grand opening of their full-service coffee shop this week at 2 E. Broad St. the center of the city. The local bakery has been operating out of its trailer on the front patio since this spring. The full store offers hot and cold coffee, local snacks and finally a bar with Rhinegeist beer on tap. • The second Paris Baguette in Central Ohio is celebrating its official opening this Saturday, December. 14. The South Korea-based chain’s first location opened earlier this year in Easton. The new location is located at 8839 Lyra Dr. outside Polaris Fashion Place.
• Three Bites Bakery is hosting a joint dinner with Maslo on December. 20 in the bakery. The dinner is a form of Polish Wigilia, a traditional meal eaten on Christmas Eve. Places are limited to 20 people; tickets can be purchased from the Three Bites website.
• The Near East Cafe announced this week that it will temporarily close to refit and rebrand. Although closed for retail hours, it is still available for catering and events. The cafe is located at 1600 E. Long St.
• A second Bendi Wok N Bar location opened this week at 170 W. Main St. in New Albany. The original Bendi Wok is located on East Livingston Avenue near German Village.
• Mr. Hibachi continues its expansion around downtown with the soft opening of its newest location this week at 1155 Worthington Woods Blvd. in Worthington.
• A new restaurant called The City Buffet Asian Seafood Buffet and Grill will soon open on Blvd. Soldando 3670. on the west side.
• The City of Hilliard has announced that the Qahwah House Yemeni Cafe will open a location in the upcoming Truepointe complex. Qahwah House is based in eastern Michigan and opened its first central Ohio location earlier this year.
